Hi-Tea 2008 : Honour Past District Governors
The contributions of the past governors during their tenure should not be ignored or forgotten. To me, this is the basis for the traditional annual event for Lions members to show their appreciation to the Past Governors and to engage in meaningful and warm fellowship in a cozy and casual setting. This will no doubt promote a spirit of comradeship amongst members and the past governors.
We have decided to hold a "Honour Past District Governors – Hi Tea 2008" during this term. This is a departure from the usual dinner, and I do so, bearing in mind the need to curtail costs escalation and with the aim of creating a less formal atmosphere and to encourage more Lions to participate.
The details are as follows:-
Date: 24 February 2008, Sunday
Venue: Singapore Swimming Club 45 Tanjong Rhu Road Singapore 436899
Dress code: Smart Casual
Costs: $40
We look forward to your participation and that of your members.
As there is limited capacity, please confirm the attendance of your club members as soon as possible. You may contact the following Lions:-
1. RC Christine Wong – hp 96872777
2. RC Jenny Tan – hp 97327296
3. ZC Susan Chong – hp 98473003
4. Lion Dolly Lim - 64424306
All cheques are to be made to Lions Club of Singapore Somerset and you may send them to any of the Lions mentioned above.
Warmest regards,
Henry Tan WH
District Governor
